My Drive to Boca Chica
Pictures taken on my first trip to the Dominican Republic in January of 2018.
There is so much more to the Dominican Republic than Sosúa. Enter the cute little town of Boca Chica. Now… I apologize in advance because I lost most of the pictures I took of Boca Chica, so what you see in the gallery above is of the beach and my drive to Boca Chica. It’s a nice town, similar to Sosúa but smaller in size. It is conveniently located about 30 minutes from the capital city – Santo Domingo. The town has a population of just over 120,000.
Boca Chica is located all the way south across the country, while Sosúa is on the north coast… so the drive to and from Boca Chica was absolutely exhausting! But the sights and the things I saw during the journey made it all worth it – it was an absolutely breath taking and amazing experience, an experience I will never forget.
The beach in Boca Chica is not as nice as Playa Sosúa, but it’s nice, I liked it. It has a different feel as it is facing the beautiful Caribbean Sea – facing towards the countries of Venezuela and Colombia.
