The gallery above is a combination of photos taken in the months of January, February, June, July, November and December of 2018. It is a blessing every time I stand on this beautiful golden sandy beach, as I just gaze in awe at God’s creation on this special part of the planet… as the waves crash onto the beach, under the blue and sunny skies of the Caribbean while standing next to a Palm tree, as Mount Isabel De Torres can be seen in the distance.

Welcome to Paradise

This beach right here ladies and gentlemen… is what makes the town of Sosúa truly special. It is THE main reason I love Sosúa so much and why many of us call it “Paradise”. The Dominican Republic is blessed with many beautiful beaches (we all know about Punta Cana), but Sosua Beach (Playa Sosúa) is ranked in the top 5 in the country, and attracts locals from around country every weekend, and tons of international tourists.

Sosua Bay

I have been to this beach more times than I can count now, and without exaggerating… it is one of the most beautiful beach anywhere in the world. The sense of peace and tranquility I feel when I am on this beach is incredible – it puts life into perspective; there is more to life than working all time, constantly checking bank balances, worrying/stressing, etc. Life is mean’t to be lived and enjoyed.

Playa Sosúa as it is commonly called, is the largest beach and main beach in Sosúa. It’s like a town of it’s own from main Sosua El Batey (downtown Sosua), with tons of shops and restaurants lining the beach.

Honestly, I have nothing negative to say about this beach, it is a public beach so expect some local merchants to come to you sell you stuff, which may annoy you… but don’t let it. They are simply trying to make a buck in an area full of tourists. If you want another beautiful but more private beach, then Alicia beach may be for you, the second largest beach in Sosua.
